CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB. Snow or Snowman/Women.

For this challenge thought I would use an image from My Papercraft Library Cd's .
I then coloured in the image with my Spectrum Noir Pens.
Over the top of the image I attached a sheet of snowy acetate.
My Spellbinders are the main shaping and I used a corner punch to insert the corners of the gold mirror card.
The finishing touches where a verse topper, glitter on the edges of the inner shape circled with peel off's and ribbon made into a bow.
Not a bad effort with someone with only one hand to use, good job I am ambidextrous.
Sorry I forgot to tell you all about my operation.

CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB.Four or More of a Kind.

This is Clare's Challenge of Four or More of a Kind.....
This I thought was a very taxing challenge but I thoroughly enjoyed it....
The Card Toppers are pictures on cloth which I bought from the Doncaster Show this year which I mounted onto mount board, then matt and layered...
The outer is a Spellbinders eyelet square on colour core card.
I took the edges off using a file then used distress ink to darken them....
The centre pieces on the fronts are Creative Expressions Zipper Roses which I bought from MB Crafts, of which I had no idea what to do with them for ages!!!!!! Till Now....
Then I finished off with some C&C Ribbon and a couple of stick on rhinestones.
I am entering this into the Christmas Card Club Challenge....

CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB.LIZZIE'S SKETCH

Thought I would try a bit of sophistication for this challenge. The tree is actually 3D but is quite difficult to see. It was an idea from a young lady called Susannah who has her own company called 'SUSANNAH STYLE'.
The back ground paper is stamped and distressed which is another idea she was showing us at the craft fair at Lincoln the other Sunday.
My starting point for this sketch was actually the ribbon, which I thought was a good a place as any to start, as it was the only place I could think of to start at.

The Decoupage is a Sarah Kay Design...

CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB CHALLENGE, All White with a bit of Glitter.

This is my entry for Margaret's Theme of White with a Bit of Glitter.
As I have been a little late with my last two cards I thought I would get in there early. So here is my entry.
I cut out an apeature in a card with my Xcut cutter big enough for my bauble to hang in, I embossed my bauble through my big shot and glittered with a bit of stickles........The snow flakes are the wooden ones I got from the show at Doncaster Race Course recently, which I glittered.
The greeting is a double sided peel off with I again glittered so it would show up. The bow is some cord which had tassels on each end........My insert is one from create and craft, with a few gems to finish off.
Hope you all like it and leave your comments.

Any hints and tips would be appreciated.

CHNC challenge 28: spots and dots.

My card for this challenge was inspired by Carol CMDesigns from the christmas club club.

Jolly Santa and Friend.

Here at last is my Christmas Card Challenge.
The image is one that my very good friend Liz sent me via skype.
I used dotty card and embossed it to get a different colour, the frame was one of my nesties.
I used Core Colour card and embossed the side edges then filed it to bring out the image, which worked pretty well I think.
From the Doncaster show I bought a Woodware crafty edger with which I cut out snowflakes.
To finish off I used a christmas tag and the corners that was from the cut out middle and embelished with gems.

FLUTTERBY BUTTERFLY

Here as promised is another Parchment Craft Card.
This is one of my early cards which I made when I was learning to colour and make 3D Butterflies.

CELEBRATE LIFE

Just to show you how mad us crafters are, here is a card I made last night.
I started this at about 10.45pm and finished it at 1.30 the next morn.
You may well ask why, well this card is for a very good friend of mine, she has just had an operation and this is a card for her to celebrate the start of the rest of her life.
The black and white shimmer card is what I bought at the Doncaster show.
I used my nesties to cut out the circle, then decked with peel offs, which I coloured.
The black and white swirls strip is a C&C paper.
Finally the lovely 3D flower well thats been kicking round my craft room so long I always knew it would be for something special and so it is.
Hope you like this card as much as I hope my friend does.
Please leave a comment and let me know.

A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS

Well here it is my card for 'Christmas Wings'. This is organised by http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/ and once again I enjoyed being set a challenge.
I downloaded the images for the fairy and backing paper from 'A Classic Christmas' DVD.
I used glossy accents on the wings, stardust stickles on the fairies hat and diamond stickles on the snowflakes on the background.
The sentiment was from C & C Christmas pack.
Then to finish I used some adhesive gems.

CHRISTMAS CARD CHALLENGE

This is my card for the Christmas Card Challenge.
I decided after talking to my good friend Margaret that I would enter a card.
A little late but here it is.
I used parchment for the main part of the card.
Then I used my Big Shot with my cuttlebug embossing folders for the dots and the border.
The trees are one of my cuttlebug cutting dies with gems to highlight  and to finish a stamp from http://www.claritystamp.co.uk/ my favourite crafter.
Enjoy and I look forward to your comments.

Demo Day

Been to a demo day today at MB Crafts of Cleethorpes. I learnt a few things about alcohol inks, distressing inks, embossing, and numerous other things, luckily i decided to make notes other wise i would have forgotten half of what i was shown. Of course had to try out some of the techniques when i got home and do you know what, making notes did work as the techniques i tried actually worked, oh rah. Keep you posted when i try out more of the techniques.
