CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB. Snow or Snowman/Women.

For this challenge thought I would use an image from My Papercraft Library Cd's .
I then coloured in the image with my Spectrum Noir Pens.
Over the top of the image I attached a sheet of snowy acetate.
My Spellbinders are the main shaping and I used a corner punch to insert the corners of the gold mirror card.
The finishing touches where a verse topper, glitter on the edges of the inner shape circled with peel off's and ribbon made into a bow.
Not a bad effort with someone with only one hand to use, good job I am ambidextrous.
Sorry I forgot to tell you all about my operation.

CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB.Four or More of a Kind.

This is Clare's Challenge of Four or More of a Kind.....
This I thought was a very taxing challenge but I thoroughly enjoyed it....
The Card Toppers are pictures on cloth which I bought from the Doncaster Show this year which I mounted onto mount board, then matt and layered...
The outer is a Spellbinders eyelet square on colour core card.
I took the edges off using a file then used distress ink to darken them....
The centre pieces on the fronts are Creative Expressions Zipper Roses which I bought from MB Crafts, of which I had no idea what to do with them for ages!!!!!! Till Now....
Then I finished off with some C&C Ribbon and a couple of stick on rhinestones.
I am entering this into the Christmas Card Club Challenge....

Thought I would try a bit of sophistication for this challenge. The tree is actually 3D but is quite difficult to see. It was an idea from a young lady called Susannah who has her own company called 'SUSANNAH STYLE'.
The back ground paper is stamped and distressed which is another idea she was showing us at the craft fair at Lincoln the other Sunday.
My starting point for this sketch was actually the ribbon, which I thought was a good a place as any to start, as it was the only place I could think of to start at.

Smart but Simple.

This is a similar card to one that I saw in a demo this last Saturday at MB Craft's...

Well thought I would put in a different kind of card, just for a change...
Had a go at using my Mix and Match Frame Creator Stepper' Pinflair..
Needed to create some shapes to my cards but have not got many nesties so tried the next best thing that I had.....
The Decoupage is a Sarah Kay Design...

Better late than never...
I did need a little time to get used to using my Spectrum Noir pens....
Well maybe a little more time than I thought.....

CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB CHALLENGE, All White with a bit of Glitter.

This is my entry for Margaret's Theme of White with a Bit of Glitter.
As I have been a little late with my last two cards I thought I would get in there early. So here is my entry.
I cut out an apeature in a card with my Xcut cutter big enough for my bauble to hang in, I embossed my bauble through my big shot and glittered with a bit of stickles........The snow flakes are the wooden ones I got from the show at Doncaster Race Course recently, which I glittered.
The greeting is a double sided peel off with I again glittered so it would show up. The bow is some cord which had tassels on each end........My insert is one from create and craft, with a few gems to finish off.
Hope you all like it and leave your comments.

Well here at last is my card for the Christmas Club Challenge.
Sorry Ladies that it is so late getting to you.
Having looked at your cards I must say they are all truly excellent.
This was not my first choice for my card but I had a few technical hitches ie :
I bought the full set of the new Spectrum Noir pens and was hoping to create a brilliant masterpiece for my blog, but alas it failed so this is my second entry minus the Spectrum Noir pens, hope you like it and hope soon to master the pens.
Any hints and tips would be appreciated.

CHNC challenge 28: spots and dots.

My card for this challenge was inspired by Carol CMDesigns from the christmas club club.
On on of her cards she used a free Digi image which came from inger harding when I left her a comment on her post how lovely the image was and how I had downloaded it she said she was looking forward to seeing what I came up with, so Carol here it is.
I am entering this card into the CHNC challenge 28: spots and dots.

Jolly Santa and Friend.

Here at last is my Christmas Card Challenge.
The image is one that my very good friend Liz sent me via skype.
I used dotty card and embossed it to get a different colour, the frame was one of my nesties.
I used Core Colour card and embossed the side edges then filed it to bring out the image, which worked pretty well I think.
From the Doncaster show I bought a Woodware crafty edger with which I cut out snowflakes.
To finish off I used a christmas tag and the corners that was from the cut out middle and embelished with gems.

Here as promised is another Parchment Craft Card.
This is one of my early cards which I made when I was learning to colour and make 3D Butterflies.

Just to show you how mad us crafters are, here is a card I made last night.
I started this at about 10.45pm and finished it at 1.30 the next morn.
You may well ask why, well this card is for a very good friend of mine, she has just had an operation and this is a card for her to celebrate the start of the rest of her life.
The black and white shimmer card is what I bought at the Doncaster show.
I used my nesties to cut out the circle, then decked with peel offs, which I coloured.
The black and white swirls strip is a C&C paper.
Finally the lovely 3D flower well thats been kicking round my craft room so long I always knew it would be for something special and so it is.
Hope you like this card as much as I hope my friend does.
Please leave a comment and let me know.

Well here it is my card for 'Christmas Wings'. This is organised by and once again I enjoyed being set a challenge.
I downloaded the images for the fairy and backing paper from 'A Classic Christmas' DVD.
I used glossy accents on the wings, stardust stickles on the fairies hat and diamond stickles on the snowflakes on the background.
The sentiment was from C & C Christmas pack.
Then to finish I used some adhesive gems.

This is my card for the Christmas Card Challenge.
I decided after talking to my good friend Margaret that I would enter a card.
A little late but here it is.
I used parchment for the main part of the card.
Then I used my Big Shot with my cuttlebug embossing folders for the dots and the border.
The trees are one of my cuttlebug cutting dies with gems to highlight  and to finish a stamp from my favourite crafter.
Enjoy and I look forward to your comments.

This is a pastel drawing of my Ragdoll cat Louie.
All though he looks like an angel he is a monster at times always annoying my other Ragdoll Cameron.
I named this blog 'The Eyes Have It' because of the gorgeous blue eyes as you can see.

Actualy managed to get my first Christmas Card finished thanks to good friends and their insperation.
Hoping you like my cute singing mice.
Buttons included, which I had a lot of bother to find the right ones.
Hoping it will get onto to be entered into the Christmas Card Challenge.

Well here as promised is the next stage of the gorilla,
Spent yesterday at my friends Chris and Normans they are my insperation to do art work.
Norman was doing a Tiger in Pastels whilst I was doing my Gorilla, Chris was a marvel with looking after us both with drinks and food, she makes a mean egg and bacon sandwich but with a twist. The outer sandwich was actualy wholemeal pitta bread, try it it's diffeerent but gorgeous.
Keep looking for my next input it may be the final if I get my finger out.

with a lot of delicate embossing and cutting out.

Well here you are Margaret.
You persuaded me to put my chimp on my blog for all to see.
Hope you and everyone who views it likes it.
I drew it in pastel which is my fav medium.
Thanks XXX

Still what a relaxing day, hoping now to get my friends wedding card finished then i will show it on my blog for all to see...........xxxxx

Demo Day

Been to a demo day today at MB Crafts of Cleethorpes. I learnt a few things about alcohol inks, distressing inks, embossing, and numerous other things, luckily i decided to make notes other wise i would have forgotten half of what i was shown. Of course had to try out some of the techniques when i got home and do you know what, making notes did work as the techniques i tried actually worked, oh rah. Keep you posted when i try out more of the techniques.
